"And the Lord said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I swear unto their fathers to give unto them."
Deuteronomy 10:11
Thoughts
Dear Sister,
From the beginning, Moses was tasked with a “big mission.” One that would take courage, heart and dependence on God. Like Moses, there are many of us daughters who the Father is calling to Arise. Would you agree that “Arising” looks different for each of us? What would rising look like for you? Would it be you coming up higher in the spirit? Breaking up with fear and self-sabotage? Being separated from your comforts so he can perfect you for his calling?
In the key scripture, we find Moses petitioning on behalf of Isreal so God would show them mercy for the transgressions they committed while Moses was on the mount. At that moment, God instructs Moses to “Arise and journey before the people, go ahead of them as I am leading that they may possess the land according to my promises.” In order, for Moses to Arise he had to change his mindset, change his posture and he had to reposition himself to go down to the people that God had assigned him to and continue the journey.
Often in scripture when God visits His servants and messengers his first instruction to them is to "Arise". We know that God is a spirit. He partners with humanity to accomplish his plans and purpose. We are His voice and feet on the earth. Remember when he told Jeremiah "Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I have commanded thee: be not afraid of their faces, lest I confound thee to them." Jeremiah 1 vs 17
Fear, uncertainty, and often the pressures of the calling will cause you to lay down, but what if like Moses an entire nation was waiting for YOU to arise, and their destiny and life depended on it? A nation waiting for you to discover your place in the kingdom of heaven, but not just to discover it but to pursue it wholeheartedly. What if you are a present-day Moses, Jeremiah, Deborah, or John the Baptist? And by your obedience to the will of God; great victories could be won?
I for one know that answering the call takes a lot of courage and faith. Sometimes the whispers are loud, but the cause is greater. Isn’t it? Is there not a cause?
My sister, whatever “Arising” may look like for you, I truly believe that the fulfilment you gain when you answer the will of the Father is like no other.
My prayer for us is that God would give us the grace to Go! Despite and regardless. To be courageous amid adversity and to set our faces like flint. Understanding that, God will never send us where he won't follow. He went with Moses and the Israelites as a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night. Rest assured that if you get up and go, He will be with you just the same.
Arise my sister and go with God!
