Arise and Rebuild

When some of the men came to Nehemiah; they informed him the walls of Jerusalem were broken down and it's gate, burned by fire. What once was identical to gold had now become very dull. The sacred temple was defiled and the land was totally invaded by the enemy. Jerusalem was in complete ruin. The people who were once feared and respected because of who they were to God, had become the least amongst the nations. Jeered and laughed at. Their flesh became meat to the birds of the air, and to the beast of the field.
Great distress and reproach covered the land and that was because they had violated their obligation to GOD. They sinned, and had turned away from the decrees and laws Moses gave to them...Forgetting the true God who carried them out of the land of bondage, through the red sea and through the wilderness, their God who caused them to possess and own houses and lands they knew nothing about building. Everything concerning them was defiled.
Upon hearing the status of Jerusalem, Nehemiah lamented. He fasted and prayed before God the scripture says, constantly. He also confessed the sins of the people, acknowledging that his fathers house have sinned. But he didn't justay "there". He got up and returned to Jerusalem that he may rebuild.
Like Jerusalem, we sometimes find ourselves in a state of ruin and desolation. Shame and disgrace. The glory we once carried becomes tarnished . The light that once shined, has now become dim. The precious thing seems worthless and wasting away. No beauty to behold. The walls no longer stand fortified and strong, because its pieces are shattered on the ground. This was never the vision for Jerusalem and neither is it His vision for you, daughter.
The Father has created you to carry His light into the dark places of the earth. Shining forth his glory, declaring His praise. You are His precious thing...And it doesn't matter where you are currently or what your past looks like. Whatever you confess, He is willing to cover.
He has need of you, but you have to get up and rebuild. The damage is great but His grace is sufficient. Allow the everlasting Love of the Father to pick you up and heal your brokenness. Your true identity is only found in Him, so is your fruit. You never stopped being the apple of His eyes. He still calls you by name, you are His. Rise up and build, repair the walls. Repair your altar. The Lord will see you through, if you will see the work through. Daughter, there is so much more to you. You are not wasted substance. You are carrying so much worth. Enlarge the place of your tent and stretch forth your curtains. He knew you would falter, be HE chose you anyway. He knew that day would come but he still has promises and purpose for you. His thoughts towards you are still good and not evil. The expected end is still the end goal. Be strong and do not fear, let not your hands get weak. For God is with you, and is mighty to save. Arise.

An amazing reminder of the Grace He gives. Thank you ❤️
